The Mood Line

Origins: Outcross between Defy Logik Rattery (DLR’s Siamese/Burmese line) and the Cinnamon branch of Wildflower Exotics (WEX’s Teddy Rex line).
Temperament & Notes: Extra-large, outgoing, affectionate love bugs. Confident and “bomb-proof.” Pushy for attention, embodying the “Mood” I want to see in rats.

Extra Notes

Burmese was lost because it is dominant but has now been successfully put back into it. Minor squabbles during introductions. Currently seeing a bit of flightiness in some babies and working on that with Once Upon A Squeak and Grey's Rattery

Named after my soul rat DLR Mood, representing the “Mood” temperament I want in rats.

The Slasher Line

Origins: This line has a long history through many breeders, to my knowledge it started with Standing Stones who added the werewolf gene to her lux project. (She was a major player in the original test breeding for lux coat). The next documented breeder was Rogue Rodents who was attempting to create "Hairwolf" which is harley werewolf. She discovered that Harley Lux creates a crunchy, scraggly coat and credits her Harley Lux buck Mango for a lot of her progress in the line. The next documented breeder to have this line was Jinxed Exotics , it was then passed to Asylum Pets in Michigan where they were obtained again by Jinxed Exotics and sent to Duskmane Hollow. I recieved Duskmane Hollow's founding werewolf carriers and they started the line here.
Temperament & Notes: The rats from this line have the biggest personalities of all of my lines. They are affectionate and obsessed with people but very high energy, exciteable and playful. They love adventure.

Extra Notes

I have zero temperament complaints, dwarves are extra small. Sometimes when these rats get super excited to see you, they do this thing where they popcorn up to the door and they don't realize they have run out of floorspace, so they fling themselves out. Open cage doors slowly!

Name Meaning & Origin

I adore old slasher horror movies and horror in general, plus with the main focus of this line being werewolf, I felt it was a fitting theme.

The Rainbow Fish Line

Origins: Duskmane Hollow's Main Line/dd>
Temperament & Notes: Sweet, squishy playful babies, I absolutely adore them. They are cuddly, playful and get rather big.

Rainbow line, lots of pretty grey colors that are hard to identify. Occasional HA in 7 month old males that seems to only be triggered by breeding based on my observation.

Named for their plethora of colors, patterns and coats as well as both sizes. They come in tons of colors and patterns as well as possibly both sizes like Fish.

The Arcade Line

Origins: Duskmane Hollow's Main line outcrossed with Duskmane Hollow's Marble line.
Temperament & Notes: The Marble girls are incredibly playful, nosy and interactive. They adore people and want to be involved in everything. Their founding buck, George (Duskmane's Main Line) brought an exceptionally confident, sweet and delightfully squishy temperament to the line that I believe has started to work wonders to fix the Marble girls' indifference for being held and preference for playing and adventuring over cuddling. The result has been amazing, squishy, playful, chunky babies.

Extra Notes

They have improved a lot from their initial hand-shyness I saw with the founding Marble girls. They still don't love just being held and cuddled over playing, but they tolerate it a lot more and have seen some huge snugglebugs from this line lately.

The Marble line is called the Arcade line in honor of my late uncle, Justin Dean Conner. He was an avidly skilled gamer, no matter the game. The name ties both to him and to the joyful, playful nature of these rats - along with the fact that marbles themselves are used in many classic games. This line celebrates his memory and the bright, spirited energy these rats bring into the world.
